Music in the Park Concert Series - Parsons, Kansas "Music in the Park" Concert Series, an annual free series held Thursday evenings in June and July.

The "Music in the Park" Concert Series is a annual free series of concerts held Thursday evenings from June through July at the Seaton Family Pavilion Stage in Forest Park 204 S. 13th, Parsons Kansas. This is a family friendly event, and the concert series features a diverse mix of musical genres from regional and national acts. Music in the Park is sponsored by the City of Parsons, Kansas and the Labette County Tourism Department.

It is hard to believe that this year's Music in the Concert Series is over already. Thanks to everyone that came out last Thursday and participated in all the activities that took place in Forest Park.

In addition, music lovers were treated to an outstanding performance by the Dillon Leggett Band. Dillon was a big hit with the crowd who were very vocal about demanding him come back on stage for an encore at the end of the evening.

We like to one more time thank everyone that supported the series this year, and for sticking with us through all the weather issues that arose. We look forward to seeing you all on May 27, 2027 for the start of the 2027 Music in the Park Concert Series.

The 2026 Music in the Park Concert Series comes to a close tonight with the rescheduled performance of the Dillon Leggett Band starting at 7:30 p.m.

Dillon is a talented young man who is already getting lots of interest among the executives in Nashville. Add in his band of seasoned professional musicians, and you can expect an evening of great music.

In addition to the concert there will be two other events going on in Forest Park.

The Parsons Police Department will be presenting their "Safety in the Park" event which will also members of the community to interact with police officers, explore emergency vehicles, and receive valuable safety information. The event will be held in the Northwest area of Forest Park from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Also, our friends from Deep Fission will be hosting their "Chickin' 'N Pickin' event in which they will be giving a free Chicken Annie's chicken dinner to the first 300 people starting at 6:30 p.m.

As always, we're watching the weather for tonight's 07/30 concert, and will keep you all updated on any changes to the scheduling. We'll actually have two sponsors for Thursday's concert this week.

Ideatek provides high speed fiber optics internet services to both residential and commercial customers. Tomorrow evening a representative for Ideatek will be present in the park passing out free bottles of water, and answering your internet questions.

The second sponsor is Grand True Value Rental of Parsons, Kansas. Located at 2925 Main, this locally-owned and operated business supplies top quality construction equipment and party rentals.

Also, our friends from Outsiders Tacos and More will be our concessionaire for the concert serving up a variety of tasty items.

Don't forget, because we have two separate bands performing this evening, the concert will start at 7:00 p.m.

Hey music lovers, we don't want you to forget that this year's Music in the Park Concert Series doesn't end in July because we have extended it one week into August to allow the previously postponed Dillon Leggett Band to perform on Thursday, August 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Not only will you be able to hear one of the area's most promising young Country artist perform, a couple of other activities will be taking place in Forest Park at the same time.

First, the Parsons Police Department will be hosting "Safety in the Park" a community event focused on safety and strong community relations. Starting at 6:30 PM individuals can get an opportunity to explore police vehicles, meet Parsons police officers, learn important safety information, and ask questions of their police department.

Also, Deep Fission is sponsoring their Chickin' 'N Pickin' event providing a free Chicken Annie's dinner to the first 300 patrons starting at 6:30 PM.

OK folks, here is the revised schedule for this Thursday's concert that will feature not one, but two outstanding Rock and Blues artists.

The Wanda Watson Band will perform from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. followed by Howard Mahan & Friends from 8:30 - 9:45 p.m.

Trust us, you do not want to miss this show as you will be amazed by the talent of these gifted musicians.

As always, we are keeping an eye on the weather, and if there happens to be severe weather conditions present on Thursday we will move the concert inside to the Parsons Municipal Auditorium. There is no way we're cancelling this show!
