William Patrick Partridge, 77, of Fort Scott, Kansas, died at 7:24 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at his residence near Fort Scott. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard with Pastor Michael Hofmann officiating. Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard where friends may call after 2:00 p.m., Monday.
William was born March 16, 1949 in Hutchinson, Kansas, a son of Billie Lee and Evelyn (Wagoner) Partridge. He grew up and attended schools in Hutchinson and graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.
He married Anita L. Roth on August 14, 1970 in Hutchinson and Anita survives of the home.
William worked as an electrical engineer at Centel Electric in Concordia, Victory Electric in Dodge City, and in 2006 he retired from Heartland Electric in Girard.
William enjoyed his family, farming, raising cattle, antique tractors, and in earlier years camping, boating, and woodworking.
William and Anita attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Anita, of the home, are his sons, Christopher Partridge, and his wife, Michelle, of Rose Hill and Wayne Partridge of Lansing. His grandchildren, Madison Hanna, and her husband, Dustin, Johnathan Partridge, Branden Partridge, Weston Partridge, Earleen Partridge, Payton Partridge, and Jasmine Partridge. His brothers, Dan Partridge, and his wife, Rhonda, of Lawrence and Ron Partridge of Hutchinson. His sisters, Gwen Weidman, and her husband, John, of Richmond, Virginia and Donnis Viegra of Hutchinson.
William was preceded in death by his parents.
