We are proud to announce that our B.A. Community Psychology program has received the Award for Excellence in Education Programs from the Society for Community Research and Action (SCRA) Council of Education. This national honor recognizes innovative, community-engaged programs that embody the core values of community psychology—collaboration, advocacy, and social impact.

Since launching in 2018, the program has empowered students through hands-on fieldwork, participatory research projects like Photovoice, and partnerships with diverse community organizations. Students graduate with professional ePortfolios and real-world experience, ready to pursue graduate study or lead change in their communities.

Pacific Oaks College, in partnership with Atwater Park Center Early Care & Education, Anthem, and the State Council on Developmental Disabilities, is hosting a community distribution event to support families impacted by the recent LA County wildfires. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Pacific Oaks College. Families in need are invited to stop by and receive essential items such as grocery store gift cards, air purifiers, infant formula, and N95 masks. Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
