THIS WEEKEND- Art Deco walking tours!

We’ll see stunning examples of Art Deco designs, but this is NOT just an architecture tour — we’ll talk about what life was like for people in the 1920s and ‘30s, including fashion trends, flapper culture, the growing presence of cars and other modes of rapid transportation, and prohibition-era nightlife!

Celebrate 100 years of Art Deco with us! Join us for TWO tours focused on the adoption and development of Art Deco and Streamline Moderne styles in Pasadena.

On Saturday, April 26th, we’ll explore Old Pasadena, Pasadena’s original business district.

On Sunday, April 27th, we’ll move into a commercial neighborhood that was brand new in the 1920s - Pasadena’s Playhouse Village.

Save the date! 100 years ago, the style we now know as “Art Deco” was officially introduced to the world in Paris at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts. The grand exposition opened on April 29, 1925, and dazzled attendees with its bold, modern designs.

In honor of this centennial, we’re offering our popular Art Deco in Old Pasadena tour on Saturday, April 26. More details to come!

On this tour, we’ll jump back in time and explore Pasadena in the 1920s & ‘30s, focusing our attention on Art Deco and Streamline Moderne designs dotted throughout Pasadena. This tour will meander along Colorado Boulevard, through the streets and alleys of Old Pasadena - Pasadena’s oldest commercial district. Strap on your snazziest spectators and join us for a stroll!

The silent film heartthrob may be best known for his Hollywood legacy, but some say his spirit still lingers in the places he once knew…💃🏻

The rain is expected to clear by Friday evening, setting the stage for a perfect night under the city lights. Pasadena needs our love now more than ever. As our community recovers, a portion of proceeds from this tour will go toward fire relief efforts. ❤️‍🩹
