This is your sign to chase wildflowers 🌼

One day it’s bright orange California poppies lining the hillsides, the next it’s fields dotted with purple lupine and soft pink owl’s clover. Add in golden stretches of goldfields, pops of blue phacelia, and cheerful tidy tips, and suddenly every turn feels like a new color palette.

Out toward Carrizo Plain National Monument, the scale gets even bigger, rolling landscapes covered in wild blooms that change week by week depending on the season. No two years look the same, which is part of the magic.

Take the long way, keep your camera ready, and see what’s showing off this season!

Farm days > regular days 🌿

Open Farm Days is back June 19–21, inviting you to explore local agriculture through farm visits, tastings, workshops, and hands-on experiences across the SLO County Farm Trail. With more than 20 participating farms, ranches, producers, and purveyors, it’s a chance to see a different side of the region, one rooted in the land, the people, and what they grow and make.

The weekend begins with the Friday Night Farmers’ Marketplace in Downtown City Park on June 19 from 5–8 PM, then opens into a self-guided weekend of fresh discoveries at your own pace. Attendance is free, so start planning your stops and make a day or three of it!

Take the scenic route, on foot this time 🌼 Spring in Paso Robles isn’t just something you drive past. It’s something you step into. Wildflower walks and easy hikes bring you closer to the season, where pops of color line the trails and the sound of pollinators hums in the background.

Keep it simple with a lakeside loop at Barney Schwartz Park, wander along the Salinas River Walk, or head into the hills for wide-open views and a little more adventure. Even a short stroll can turn into something memorable this time of year!
