Milos was a dream… known for its dramatic, moon-like rock formations, hidden sea caves, and the clearest, bluest water you've ever seen. Then there was the lunch… a Greek salad: ripe tomatoes 🍅, creamy feta, briny olives, cucumber, and olive oil that tastes like sunshine. Simple, perfect, delicious!

Fun fact: this is the island where the famous Venus de Milo was unearthed in 1820. (She has since relocated to Paris)

Puglia - the heel of Italy’s boot, 🇮🇹 and one of my favorite regions! It’s whitewashed villages and fortified farms are surrounded by a sea of olive groves. We wandered the lanes of Ostuni, the "Città Bianca" and lunched on fresh burrata and orecchiette, shaped by hand, one little ear at a time, and then we cooled off with a caffè leccese: espresso over ice with sweet almond syrup. Pure magic in a glass.

Next we visited a masseria, one of the fortified farms built centuries ago to guard against raiders, and an olive mill. Some of the trees in this region were planted by the Romans and are still producing liquid (green) gold today. Their twisted trunks hold two thousand years of stories.

We boarded Explora II and woke up in one of my favorite places: Rovinj, Croatia 🇭🇷

After wandering the cobblestone lanes of the old town, we took on the bell tower of St. Euphemia. Those sketchy wooden stairs are not for the faint of heart 😅 but every careful step was worth it for the views over the red rooftops and turquoise sea.

There's nothing like arriving in Venice by water taxi. It never gets old! 🚤✨ This time we changed things up and spent the night on Burano, the colorful island that turns quiet and peaceful once the day-trippers head home.
