Blackstone Valley is a rolling, 240 square mile region in the northern part of the Rhode Island. It encompasses the cities of Pawtucket, Central Falls and Woonsocket, and the towns of Cumberland, Lincoln, Burrillville, Glocester, Smithfield and North Smithfield. Its people represent cultures from Native American and “Old Yankee”, to recent immigrants who enrich their adopted Valley with an entrepreneurial spirit, great food, and amazing traditions. Blackstone Valley contains some of the state’s most prominent attractions such as Slater Mill, Twin River Casino, and the Pawtucket Red Sox. To highlight our country’s role in the industrial revolution, Blackstone Valley contains a number of museums and historic sites that provide visitors with the opportunity to learn about, and relive, our country’s heritage and early history.
You can get outside in Blackstone Valley, too! With dozens of miles of trails, bike paths, and rivers...our region is know for its hiking & biking, kayaking & boating, and fishing! Whether you're coming to do some bouldering in Lincoln Woods State Park, ice skating on one of our ponds, or riding at an equestrian event - Blackstone Valley is prime for excitement! Our parks are plentiful! Our sports are stupendous!
