A June giant on the New River!

When we started the day around 8:00, this young angler told me he’d actually never caught a fish before. Then by 9:00 he landed a smallmouth just shy of 21” on a topwater lure. He quickly added a couple more nice fish. It certainly is not always that easy, but it made for an unforgettable morning!

What an afternoon for our client, Heiko! After a slow morning he was able to hang one of the fattest smallmouth I’ve seen this spring, falling a few ounces shy of 5lbs at just 20”. About 30 minutes later he was able to land this giant 20lb striper. After catching the striper he asked, “Am I going to make the page?” Yes Heiko, you made the page!
