We may be closed during the winter season but that doesn't mean the lake is shut down! Check out the pictures from our first day out on the ice set up for spearing. We weren't able to be out long but we saw 1 northern and let him go because he was too small.
Can't wait for the winter fishing to continue!

When it is warmer and you can still feel your face and hands outside, come out to Peteyville PelicanRapids and meet the Simpson's! Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, Maggie, Snowball and Santa's Little Helper are all excited to see you!!
They are all waiting for you to snap some selfies with them and take a walk around the Christmas Village! It is truly magical!!
If u notice Bart and Homer got tangled in the lights and they stopped working 🤣 you can just about hear Homer "D-Oh!"

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!
Someone is so excited to see everyone tonight at the lighting of Peteyville PelicanRapids that the cameraman couldn't hold still for a decent picture of her!! Hopefully we get some good photo ops tonight!!

5:30 we will lights come on and at 6:30 is the Lighted Horse Parade.

The view this morning was breathtaking! Our bay on North Lida is almost froze over and the view of south Lida and Hallaway Hill shows the difference in temperatures that help make the ice. WE can't wait for ice fishing this year!! When the ice is right get your fish houses and poles ready cs it's "FISH ON!"

The most beautiful hill in Otter Tail County. Hallway Hill in Maplewood State Park. Lake Lida is still as the night falls. The ice is coming, and the anticipation for winter activities and festivities are just around the corner! Who else is excited??

A few little Elves have been busy the last few weeks and we are excited to share that we will be having a display sponsored by Hallaway Hideaway at Peteyville in Pelican Rapids MN. Old Fashion Hometown Christmas celebration starts off with the lighting of Peteyville followed by the Lighted Horse parade November 29th!

What a wonderful first season for our Hallaway Hideaway. Thank you to all of our amazing guests who stayed with us. It is now time to close up the cozy cabin, and settle in for the cold season upon us. We cannot wait to host you and yours next season!! Bookings will be open in May of 2025.
