I have now booked THREE Reserve Collection mini suites on my group 2028 Alaska cruise tour! 🛳️🗻🐻🫎
Let’s talk about the difference in rooms for a bit. The picture shows the basic difference between a balcony and a mini suite on our ship the Crown Princess. The square footage difference is significant. But you may wonder “Why would I care about having a second tv or a sofa in my cabin? I’m not planning to hang out in my room!” Here’s my two-cents worth: I think it’s worth the extra money for the mini suite on an Alaska cruise specifically. We will spend two days cruising through bays with glaciers. For HOURS. You could hang out on the top deck or someplace else and fight for a good spot along the rail and spend hours in the cold. (Those walls of ice bring down the temperature quite a bit). Or, you could hang out in your mini suite. You have the luxury of easily stepping outside on your balcony to enjoy the view, or back inside to warm up or use the bathroom. That second tv closer to the balcony? Turn it onto the station that is playing what the park ranger is saying about the views and crank it up so you can hear it through your cracked open balcony door. You can also order room service and have your lunch sitting on the couch while keeping an eye on the view. 10/10 would recommend.
Right now, the Reserve Collection mini suite is the same price as the lower category mini suites. And they will go fast!!
