WaxPax Records is one of the newer additions to downtown Penn Yan; and the kind of stop that pairs well with a coffee from Amity Coffee Co., a walk down to the Keuka Outlet Trail, and lunch at Parker's Grille and Tap House - Penn Yanbefore you head out to the wineries. Have you been to Cruisin' Night yet?

If you're within a couple hours of Penn Yan, this event is worth the drive! Every June, Main Street in downtown Penn Yan transforms into a block party- about 100 vintage and classic cars lined up downtown, live music, food trucks, along with a kids' fun area.

Free admission, open to everyone, and the kind of evening you'll make a family tradition for years to come.

You don't need a full weekend here to feel at home in the Finger Lakes. 🌊

Start your morning with breakfast at The Wagner Restaurant (a local favorite) then walk off the meal out on the point of the bluff, where the Garrett Memorial Chapel sits above Keuka Lake with some terrific views of the area.

Grab a kayak from Reagan's Canoe & Kayak Livery to get on the lake, then stop at a Mennonite farm stand on your way through the countryside for the freshest veggies, and end the afternoon at the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum - one of the most underrated spots in the region for touring.

Dinner? Casa Mezcal Reserva if you want good Mexican food or Veraisons at Glenora Wine Cellars for a stunning view to match the meal.

What are your plans for Memorial Day Weekend? 🇺🇸

From our small towns to scenic shorelines, Memorial Day weekend is a reminder that America’s story lives in communities like ours. As we approach America 250, we celebrate the people, history, and local traditions that make this region special.

On Monday, May 25th, join the Memorial Day Parade hosted by the Yates County Veterans Services Agency on Main Street in Penn Yan- a chance to pause, honor, and come together as a community. The Windmill Farm and Craft Market is also hosting their Memorial Day Car Show the same day, running 8AM – 3PM.

The whole weekend is alive with live music at local spots, good food, and the kind of easy summer vibes that makes the Finger Lakes the treasure we all know and love.

Tucked into the hills of Middlesex, the The Folk Art Guild has been doing something quite remarkable for nearly 70 years.

A nonprofit artist community and craft education center right here in the Finger Lakes; the Guild is home to craftspeople who live and work together on campus, producing handmade pottery, woodworking, fiber, and more. Their East Hill Gallery is open weekends May through October, and it's the kind of place you stumble into for twenty minutes and stay for two hours.

This season they're also hosting Lecture on the Lawn; a free series of talks, performances, and creative gatherings on campus, running May through October. From poetry set to music and mushroom dyes to a deep dive into Mennonite history and culture. Every program starts at 2PM and walk-ins are welcome.

The Keuka Arts Festival is back June 13th and 14th with local artists, live music, food, wine, and craft beer along one of the prettiest stretches of water and woods in Yates County.
