Merry Christmas everyone. Friends are coming up from Lancaster to fish penns. It's up and looks good. Should be a good day to be on the water

It's been along time since I have been on this page. I actually hit the water this morning. Water is super super low. Typical stone flies any bead head nymph is working well. All the trout are in the deeper pools. Steelhead fishing is going to take over in the next couple weeks for me.

i have been so busy work work lately that flyfishing took a back seat for a couple of weeks. I did head out on a stream last weekend with curt miller...we raced to this stream because we saw they stocked it. Ran down to the first hole only to see that there was not a trout in site. I know the summer was bad but it wiped out this hole stream. We moved down to the next couple of holes and saw the same thing.

It has been super hot but i did hit up a spring creek in chamberburg...i have never fished a stream that small before and man was it a ton of fun. Wild rainbows. Really nice selection of wild browns...we had a good day on the stream. Can't wait till it cools off so i can take a pontoon trip down penns creek. let me know if anyone is interested in taking one on the fall.

i have been flyfish alot lately....fly fishing in lancaster county have been great the last couple of times out. the last 3 days out we have landed over 100 trout! I donated a free guiding trip to a local church for a fundraiser they are doing and i am taking her and her father out in two weeks. The first day out trout season is comming soon. Will post pics of the first days catch!

miah and i were out lastnight...what a great day to fish....we went across the swinging bridge and fished right below it...got nothing there so we moved up and i changed flies to a montana stone fly....made two casts and caught a nice 14 inch brown...it w

was out on penns creek last night...sulpher hatch still comming off we were right below where the fly fish only starts....caught a nice brook trout and jeremiah caught a nice brown trout....bass would not leave my fly alone

was fishing yesterday on the octorara creek in quarryville pa. sulpher hatch still comming off. Started raining really hard so i called it a day caught 5 (3 rainbow, 2 Brown). water was also stained and alittle high but was a good day!
