Watch from Fort Pickens…just down the road from 💙💛
For the next two months in Florida, you can view the US Navy’s Blue Angels take to the skies over Pensacola during six remaining public practices at Naval Air Station Pensacola. Flights are scheduled for September 9, 15 and 22, followed by October 14, 20 and 28, with autograph sessions after the September 9, October 14 and October 28 practices. The flight line behind the National Naval Aviation Museum opens at 9:30 a.m., and the jets usually take off around 10:30 for close formations, fast passes and sharp turns overhead. Practice viewing, parking and museum admission are free, and the museum is home to more than 150 restored aircraft. You may also catch glimpses of the team practicing from nearby Fort Pickens, Johnson Beach on Perdido Key, boat cruises and other spots around Pensacola, sometimes with the white sand and blue-green Gulf below them. The Blue Angels have been based in Pensacola since 1946, making this one of the most fitting places in the country to watch them fly.
