In Florida, you can watch the Navy’s “Blue Angels” put on an incredible airshow during their practice runs starting later this month! The team begins its 2026 practice season March 31 at Naval Air Station Pensacola, with most practices held Tuesday and Wednesday mornings through October. Visitors without military ID can enter the base at 9:00 a.m., the viewing area opens at 9:30, and the jets usually take off around 10:30. The practice lasts about 55 minutes and is completely free to watch at the National Naval Aviation Museum flight line. Bleachers seat about 500 people, chair rentals cost $6, and premium seats cost $12. You can also watch from nearby beaches like Fort Pickens or Johnson Beach on Perdido Key and catch glimpes of them flying over the beautiful sand beaches here as well! 2026 practice dates are March 31; April 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29; May 5, 6, 12, 13, 27; June 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30; July 1, 21, 22, 28; August 26; September 1, 9, 15, 22; and October 14, 20, 28.

Our completely remodeled 2-br, 2-ba unit (with 2 hall bunks) has a spacious balcony with a beach view and the sound if the waves, and beach access via boardwalk just across the property lawn. It is comfortably furnished and stocked with all you’ll need for a great stay. There are 2 pools and 2 hot tubs on property.
We also provide access to our owner’s closet containing basic beach chairs, etc.

We are situated on the top (4th) floor of a low-density complex with an elevator and gated access on a quiet area of beach. Adjacent to Rosamund Johnson U.S. National Seashore, our condo is close to great restaurants, shops, fishing, golf, and essentials, such as groceries. The road leading to the U.S. Park from our condo has light traffic and a paved sidewalk, which provides great opportunity for walking, running, and bike-riding. Nestled between Orange Beach and Pensacola, we are convenient to all each area offers, as well.

Bicycling at Johnson Beach is one of our favorite things to do at Lost Key Lagniappe - on this day in May, we saw 3 eagles soaring near this nest, but couldn't get a great shot of them.
