It is Monarch Butterfly migration season. These beautiful creatures and hummingbirds are stopping by our balcony planters to fuel up on flower nectar before continuing their incredible 3000 mile journey to Mexico for winter. One of the reasons we selected Eden in Perdido Key as our vacation rental property was the versatility that it offers. The property has access to both the Gulf front and also across the street to Ole River which is part of Perdido Bay. This is a boaters paradise. In years past, when we would take our boats down to Destin or Ft Walton it was relatively easy to find a condo with boat slips but impossible to find one with trailer storage. The hassle of that, and also dealing with a crazy, crowded boat ramp made the experience less than ideal.

At our complex however, boating could not be more easier. We have a deep water ramp launch, ample trailer parking, and boat slips available on a first come, first serve basis. There are over 25 slips that are free of charge for you to use with your rental, with a number of them equipped with 30/50 amp shore power. To the east you can reach Pensacola Pass in about 7 miles across Big Lagoon. From there you can access the Gulf for world class fishing or spend the day relaxing in shallow crystal clear Ft McRee (also known as Sailboat Bay). To the west is Perdido Pass in Orange Beach which is home to one of the largest charter fishing fleets on the gulf coast. Many bars and restaurants are found here that are easily accessible by water, including the world famous Flora Bama beach bar. You can also pull up to pristine shallow water called Bird/Robinson Island(s) for a relaxing day in clear, waist deep water.

Eden Condos in Perdido Key has a unique architectural design that provides 500 feet of beautiful beach front access which is the largest on the Emerald Coast. Most condos are tall and skinny buildings with only about 150 feet of width. You don't have to worry about getting up at 7 am and trying stake out a small postage stamp piece of beach at Eden. Plenty of room to bring your own gear to set up, or use the convenient rental service for the day or a week. There is a free beach volleyball court to use, or bring your corn hole games.
