It’s a hot one out there, but the vendors at the Perham Farmer’s Market are still out soaking up the sunshine and selling all kinds of great goodies! Stop by before 2pm to shop baked goods, handmade items, plants, and more while supporting some hardworking local vendors.

Join the fun at our Turtle Fest Street Fair!

We're looking for a group to host an activity (or multiple!) under our Main Street Tent! Think BINGO, trivia, local history storytelling, workshops, craft activities, etc. We are open to any ideas you may have! The Perham Area Public Library will be hosting America 250 activites throughout both days. These events will be scheduled in timeslots, tables and chairs will be available.

Happy World Turtle Day to our favorite little friends, the Painted Turtle! Around Perham, these mud-loving cuties are basically celebrities and yes, we might be a little biased.
Did you know:
• Painted Turtles are the most common turtle in Minnesota
• They’re cold blooded
• They have to eat underwater because their tongues don’t move freely
• Their shell is made up of about 60 bones
And speaking of turtles, Turtle Races kick off June 3rd and we cannot wait to see everyone back at the races all summer long! 🐢🐢

Pretty cool to see historic places in Otter Tail County being showcased! This one is especially meaningful to us since it’s home to our office. We love seeing the stories and history of our community being celebrated!

The National Trust for Historic Preservation has called on us to highlight the historic places we love that spark joy, inspire wonder, and connect us to our community and our shared history. Places, and perhaps especially historic structures and sites that we have saved, are worth celebrating!

Here in Otter Tail County, 28 sites have been added to the "National Register of Historic Places." The first site listed was Morrison Mounds near Otter Tail Lake in 1973. The latest was the Battle Lake Baptist Church. The listings are as diverse as the county. They include private homes, businesses, public buildings, and archaeological sites. We'll post a photo of a site every day from today until we've shown you all the sites.
