Sometimes you don’t have to travel far to feel like you’ve gotten away. ❤️

Yesterday, we had a little Sonoma County adventure of our own.

For the first time ever, we rode the SMART Train!

I honestly can’t believe this was my first time, considering how long it’s been around. You’d think being born and raised in Sonoma County, I would have checked that one off the list by now! 😂

We hopped on in Petaluma and headed to Windsor, where we spent the day at the park, had lunch, wandered into a candy store, and then hopped back on the train for the ride home.

Nothing extravagant. No big itinerary. Just a simple day enjoying Sonoma County with my husband and my son.

And it reminded me just how lucky I am to call this place home.

Being born and raised here, I sometimes think we can forget to appreciate what’s right in our own backyard. We have beautiful towns, incredible food, parks, wineries, outdoor adventures, and so many little experiences that make Sonoma County special.

As someone who spends so much of my time helping people plan trips and discover destinations around the world, I also love being able to showcase the place I call home.

So if you live in Sonoma County, maybe this is your reminder to play tourist in your own backyard.

Take the train. Visit a town you haven’t explored. Try a new restaurant. Find a new park. Make a day of it.

And if you’re reading this from outside California, maybe Sonoma County deserves a spot on your travel list. 😉

I may be a little biased, but after a day like yesterday, I’m reminded once again how grateful I am to have been born and raised in such a beautiful place.

An area in my business where I always overdeliver is…

The details you never see. ✨

The hours spent researching the perfect resort, comparing room categories, reading reviews, double-checking logistics, anticipating questions, and making sure every piece of your trip flows seamlessly.

My clients don’t just come to me for a booking. They come to me for the confidence of knowing someone is looking out for them every step of the way.

The little details are often what turn a good vacation into an unforgettable one. 💙

A question I’ve been getting a lot lately is:

“What’s the best all-inclusive resort in Mexico?”

The answer nobody likes: it depends. 😄

The best resort for a honeymoon isn’t necessarily the best resort for a family with young kids, a multigenerational trip, or a group getaway.

When I’m matching clients with a resort, I’m looking at things like budget, travel style, destination, whether they want adults only or family friendly, their food preferences, beach quality, room categories, activities, and what kind of experience they’re hoping to have.

That’s why there isn’t one “best” resort—there’s only the best resort for you.

Tell me your travel style in the comments, and I’ll tell you what I’d recommend. 🌴

New week, new clients taking off for adventures! ✈️

This week, one of my clients is headed to Italy for an incredible journey through Rome, Venice, Milan, and the Amalfi Coast.

Another client is taking his daughter on a special getaway to San Diego, where they'll enjoy the zoo, whale watching, and some quality time together.

I love seeing travel plans come to life and knowing that new memories are about to be made.

Now I'm curious...

What's the next destination on your calendar—or your wish list?

Every summer, travel reminds me of the same thing. This summer is no different.

Travel gives us something that’s often hard to find in everyday life: the chance to slow down and reconnect with the people we care about.

And those memories tend to stay with us long after the suitcases are unpacked.

What was your most memorable travel moment this summer? I want to hear it.👇

All-inclusive or independent travel?

One isn't better than the other. The right choice depends on the type of experience you're hoping to have.

🏝️ All-inclusive vacations are often a great fit if you want to know your costs upfront, minimize decision-making, and spend your vacation truly relaxing. They're especially popular for couples, families, multi-generational travel, celebrations, and travelers who want everything conveniently in one place.

🍝 Independent travel tends to appeal to travelers who want to immerse themselves in a destination, try local restaurants and explore neighborhoods & landmarks.

When helping clients decide between the two, I usually ask a simple question:

Do you want this trip to feel effortless, or do you want it to feel immersive?

Neither answer is wrong.

I've had clients absolutely thrive at all-inclusive resorts, and I've had others who would feel restless after two days and would much rather be wandering through a local market, discovering hidden restaurants, or getting lost on a cobblestone street.

The best trips happen when the travel style matches the traveler.

So tell me...
