🇩🇴✈️ We arrived as a team. We’re leaving with a family that stretches across two countries. 🥎❤️

One final team photo. One final round of hugs. And plenty of tears at the airport as our 4th Annual Girls Softball & Service Trip officially came to a close.

What these girls accomplished in the Dominican Republic went far beyond anything on a scoreboard.

They competed. They served. They explored. They stepped outside their comfort zones. They built friendships with Dominican players, embraced a new culture, supported one another, and represented Global Softball Adventures with incredible heart every step of the way. 💪🥎

To our Dominican coaches, staff, players, families, and communities—GRACIAS. 🇩🇴 Thank you for opening your fields, homes, and hearts to us. The relationships we’ve built here are what make returning to the Dominican Republic year after year so special.

To our incredible coaching staff, thank you for mentoring and empowering these young women throughout this journey.

And a huge shout-out to the family members who traveled with us! ❤️ Thank you for embracing the adventure, cheering from the stands, participating in our service projects, and creating these memories alongside your daughters.

We may be flying home, but we’re bringing back something much bigger: perspective, gratitude, confidence, sisterhood, and friendships that crossed borders.

🥎🇩🇴 WHAT A WEEK FOR THESE GIRLS! ❤️

Our final full day in the Dominican Republic gave us one more opportunity to celebrate an incredible group of young women who absolutely crushed this adventure—on and off the field.

After getting back to Santo Domingo at 1:30 AM following our electric doubleheader in Fantino, the girls earned a well-deserved sleep-in before one final game.

🔥 And what a setting!

We took the field at the Dominican Republic Ministry of Defense, playing on a military base with helicopters overhead against the Dominican Republic Women’s Junior National Team. 🇩🇴🇺🇸

The softball was outstanding, but the best part came when we mixed the rosters and watched Dominican and American players compete side-by-side as teammates. Different countries. Different languages. One game connecting us all. 🥎❤️

Afterward, it was time to recharge at our hotel’s beautiful infinity pool overlooking Santo Domingo before our Closing Night Awards Dinner. 🌇

Each player reflected on what this week taught her about confidence, sisterhood, service, gratitude, and stepping outside her comfort zone.

🥎 We also held our end-of-trip raffle and gave away three custom-made bats from our friends at Elevate Bat Factory! To close the ceremony, Coach Jacee led a gratitude card-writing activity, giving our girls a chance to recognize the people who made this journey so special. ❤️

We could not be more proud of this team. They competed, served, explored, embraced a new culture, and supported one another every step of the way.

Strong athletes. Strong teammates. Strong young women. 💪🥎

What a week—and we still have one more special moment together. 🇩🇴❤️

🇩🇴🥎 From high above Santo Domingo to softball under the lights… WHAT A DAY!

Today brought Play. Live. Give. to life through adventure, culture, service, softball, and connection.

🚇🚠 We started by exploring Santo Domingo by Metro and Teleférico, traveling through the capital before soaring above the city in gondolas with incredible panoramic views. What a beautiful way to experience the DR!

Next, we traveled to La Piedra, hometown of former MLB pitcher Pedro Liriano. Before our service work, Coach Meghan led a hitting clinic at Coach Pedro’s academy, giving our girls another opportunity to learn, compete, and share their love of softball. 🥎🔥

❤️ Then came the GIVE.

Our players packed food and essential supplies before walking through the community and personally delivering care packages to local families. It was a powerful opportunity to connect, learn, and experience firsthand why service is at the heart of this journey.

🌙🔥 Then… GAME TIME!

We finished with an electric softball doubleheader under the lights in Fantino. Packed stands, Dominican music, cheering fans, and two teams from different countries united by the same game—the atmosphere was unforgettable.

🎂 And what better place to celebrate Coach Aria’s birthday! Right on the field, under the lights, we surprised her with a birthday cake blazing with candles as our Dominican and American softball families celebrated together. ❤️🎉

After the final out, we presented our host team with donated softball equipment, exchanged hugs, and celebrated the friendships created through this incredible game.

🌴🚤🇩🇴 Cleats OFF. Island mode ON.

After several action-packed days of softball and service, it was time to recharge the batteries, strengthen friendships, and experience another side of the beautiful Dominican Republic.

Destination: Saona Island! 🏝️

Our girls traded the softball field for the Caribbean Sea, racing across turquoise water by speedboat before stopping in the middle of paradise for a swim in warm, crystal-clear, waist-deep water. 🌊☀️

Then it was off to Saona, where palm trees, white-sand beaches, and an authentic Dominican lunch served right along the shoreline were waiting for us. The afternoon was all about swimming, beach games, laughter, and simply enjoying time together.

Days like this are an important part of the journey. Stepping away from competition gives our players an opportunity to recharge, build deeper connections as teammates, and create friendships and memories that have absolutely nothing to do with a scoreboard. ❤️🥎

And a huge shout-out to the parents traveling with us who fully embraced island life! Watching our families swim, relax on the beach, and experience the Caribbean together made the day even more special. 🌴

As the sun began to set, we said goodbye to the coast and headed for Santo Domingo, our home for the second half of this adventure.

We capped off an incredible day with a team dinner at Grand Bellamar Parador and some legendary Dominican BBQ. 🍖🔥

Batteries recharged. Friendships stronger. Next chapter loading…

🥎🇩🇴 A little rain wasn’t about to stop this adventure!

Our day began with an incredible visit to the Elevate Bat Factory, where our players saw firsthand how maple is transformed into handcrafted game bats. The girls asked great questions, earned raffle tickets for the end of trip bat giveaway, and gained a whole new appreciation for the craftsmanship behind every swing. ⚾🪵

Then came the rain.

Our original game site was soaked, but just like in softball, you adjust when life throws you a curveball. We quickly pivoted to another one of our favorite Dominican sandlots, where the field was ready and the game was on!

Our reunion with Las Delfinas was filled with great softball, huge smiles, and friendships that continue to grow year after year. Moments like these remind us that the game truly has no borders. ❤️

After the game, more than 100 local girls joined us for our annual softball equipment and clothing giveaway. Together, we distributed donation bags filled with gear to help grow the game throughout the Dominican Republic. It was one of the most meaningful moments of the trip.

We ended the evening with dinner, laughter, and team reflections as our players journaled about the memories and life lessons they experienced throughout the day.

Rain or shine, this was a day we’ll never forget. 🇩🇴🥎✨

🥎🇩🇴 What. A. Day.

Our first full day in the Dominican Republic was everything this trip is about—softball, service, culture, and unforgettable memories.

We kicked things off at the New York Yankees Academy, where Melissa Hernandez, Player Development Coordinator, inspired our girls by sharing her journey as a woman in professional baseball. We also watched a New York Yankees vs. Colorado Rockies Dominican Summer League game, giving our players a front-row seat to the next generation of pro talent. What an incredible experience!

Back at the hotel, our team sorted and organized more than 500 pounds of baseball and softball equipment donations that will be distributed to underserved communities and youth teams throughout the week. Giving back is at the heart of our mission. ❤️

That afternoon, we reunited with our friends from Las Delfinas at the Guayacanes sandlot before opening the trip with an exciting win over the Estrellas of Boca Chica under the Caribbean lights! 💪🥎

One of the most memorable moments came after the game…

🎂 Happy Sweet 16, Emma! Former Major Leaguer Yorkis Pérez surprised Emma with a birthday cake, and together our Dominican and American softball families sang “Happy Birthday” in both Spanish and English. It was a beautiful reminder that this trip is about so much more than softball.

Day 1 couldn’t have been a better start. We’re just getting started! 🇩🇴🥎✨

🥎🇩🇴 The adventure has officially begun!

Welcome to our 4th Annual Global Softball Adventures “Play. Live. Give.” Softball & Service Trip to the Dominican Republic!

After traveling more than 3,500 miles from the San Francisco Bay Area, our team has officially arrived for an unforgettable week of softball, service, culture, and adventure. This journey is about so much more than the game—it’s about growing as athletes, teammates, and young women.

We’re proud to be led by an incredible coaching staff of four former NCAA Division I softball players, whose passion and leadership will inspire our athletes every step of the way.

A huge shout-out to all of the amazing family members traveling with us! ❤️ Thank you for joining this adventure and creating lifelong memories alongside your daughters. We’re so grateful to have you as part of our softball family.

After arriving in Santo Domingo and checking into Emotions Resort by Hodelpa, we celebrated our Opening Night Jersey Ceremony before ending the evening with a beach team-bonding activity led by our outstanding coaches. It was the perfect way to begin an unforgettable week together. 🌴✨

✈️🇩🇴 One last team photo. One last goodbye. Countless memories coming home with us.

As our team gathered at the airport for one final photo before heading home, it was hard to believe how much we experienced in just one week.

We arrived as a group of baseball players, parents, and coaches. We left as an even stronger family.

From competing on Dominican ballfields and serving local communities to exploring the country’s incredible culture and building lifelong friendships, this journey was about so much more than baseball. It was about living our mission to Play. Live. Give.

A heartfelt thank-you to our amazing Dominican coaches, staff, host communities, and local players for welcoming us with such warmth and generosity. Your hospitality made this experience unforgettable.

To our players and coaches, thank you for representing Global Baseball Adventures with humility, character, and passion every step of the way.

And a huge shout-out to all of the parents who chose to travel with us! Thank you for embracing every moment—from cheering in the stands and serving alongside our players to exploring the Dominican Republic together. Watching families create lifelong memories has been one of the greatest highlights of this trip. ❤️

As one adventure comes to an end, another is about to begin...
