The Grant County WV Farmer's Market opens this Saturday at the Petersburg City Parking Lot 8am-12pm. This is one of our favorite times of the year. You’ll want to check it out for yourself!

For centuries, farmers markets have been an important part of community life. Long before grocery stores existed, local farmers gathered in town squares to sell their goods, share news, and connect with neighbors. These markets helped build local economies and created strong ties between the people who grew food and the families who enjoyed it.

Today, that tradition continues. Farmers markets remain a place where fresh food, handmade goods, and community come together. We are thrilled to be a part of something so meaningful.

The 2026 Grant County Farmers Market starts this Saturday, June 6!! Don’t miss the opportunity this summer to support local growers and makers by participating in a tradition that has served communities for generations.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Grant County Old Courthouse for a Night of History with live music, demonstrations, a silent auction, and lots reminiscing.

It was really great to have a group of visitors from Boston that were passing through the area and enjoyed learning so much about our culture and history as much as we enjoyed getting to know them.

Join the Grant County Historical Society for a fun evening of connecting with times gone by at the Old Courthouse in Petersburg. There will be light refreshments, a silent auction, music, and a chair caning demonstration.

If you’ve got photos to share, bring them to be scanned on site and added to the archives.
