Did you know❓Virginia's Crossroads is comprised of Amelia, Appomattox, Brunswick, Buckingham, Charlotte, Dinwiddie, Emporia/Greensville, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway, and Prince Edward Counties and the city of Petersburg.

We work together on two major historical trails, the Civil Rights in Education Heritage Trail (CRIEHT) and the Civil War Trail (CWT).

CLARKSVILLE, VA HOSTED A GREAT seaplane splash-in and held their biggest ever annual wine festival this past weekend. Mark you calendars for more seaplanes and wine this time next year!

TOURISM AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT often work hand in hand, and we're excited to welcome Jeff Reed as the new Executive Director of the regional economic development organization known as Virginia's Growth Alliance. Many of the counties of Virginia's Retreat overlap with VGA, and we're excited for the strong and positive momentum that our area is gaining. Mr. Reed has only been in office since October, and is already driving some great progress.

So go ahead and come visit our region, but be careful, you just might end up staying!

They are the epicenter of the Virginia Civil War universe, and will only continue to shine as we march into the middle of the Civil War 150th anniversary events over the next 2 years here in Virginia. Check out the site, but cut a few minutes out of your day before clicking through :)
