The beauty of is perhaps, somehow, underrated.

Despite world-famous icons like the pyramids, temples, and pharaohs, it is the land's significant role in our shared human history, the history of civilization, that consistently requires me to step back in sheer awe.

I love this summary by Egyptologist Hanaa — it's quick, to the point, and spoken with real appreciation for one of our world's most historic civilizations.
