The Stover Mill in Erwinna is one of the most remarkable industrial landmarks in Bucks County, fieldstone and brick, still standing after nearly 200 years. Henry Stover didn’t just build a mill. He built an empire along the river.

Tucked between the Delaware River and the canal in Erwinna, the Golden Pheasant Inn has been open since 1857.

The land it sits on once belonged to Colonel Arthur Erwin himself. Farmers, canal workers, travelers, this place has been serving them all for nearly 170 years.

It’s one of our favorite stops on a Bucks County Joyride.
