What an unforgettable and profoundly moving journey it has been for the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta Young Leadership Mission to Poland. Over the past several days, our group walked through history, bearing witness to the unimaginable tragedies of the past while honoring the memories of those we lost. From tracing the remnants of the Warsaw and Krakow Ghettos, standing in solemn remembrance at Treblinka and Auschwitz-Birkenau, to paying our respects at the Lopuchowo Forest and the historic synagogues of Kazimierz, we confronted the darkest chapters of our history with a shared, unwavering commitment that we shall never forget.

Yet, alongside our deep mourning, we had the profound privilege of witnessing the incredible resilience and vibrant rebirth of Jewish life in Poland today. Whether we were making pierogis and engaging in strategic briefings at JCC Warsaw, volunteering at JCC Krakow, or celebrating a beautiful Shabbat dinner with 250 people from the global community, these young leaders connected powerfully with the living legacy of Polish Jewry. Meeting with inspiring figures—including the Chief Rabbi of Poland, the Israeli Ambassador, and local Jewish Agency and Hillel directors—reminded us that the Jewish spirit remains unbreakable. Gil Travel is incredibly proud to have designed and guided this meaningful mission, sending these exceptional leaders home to Atlanta forever changed, deeply inspired, and ready to lead. 🇮🇱🇵🇱✨

What an extraordinary journey through the heart of Morocco with the Jewish Federation of Utah! From the moment we touched down in Casablanca and were greeted with traditional pashminas and kippot, this mission has been a soul-stirring exploration of heritage, resilience, and global Jewish peoplehood. We’ve walked through the architectural grandeur of the Hassan II Mosque, shared stories over lunch with local Jewish and Muslim students, and stood in the sacred halls of the Beth El Synagogue. Each moment, from the ancient Mellah of Fez to the vibrant Jewish Museum, served as a powerful reminder of the deep roots our community holds in this captivating land.

The spirit of connection only grew as we ventured into the High Atlas Mountains to share tea with Berber families and explored the labyrinthine souks of Marrakesh. A true highlight was our communal Shabbat dinner at the historic Slat Al Azama synagogue, where we joined voices with the local community and visitors from around the world to celebrate our shared identity. We return home with our hearts full, carrying the warmth of Moroccan hospitality and the unforgettable bonds formed between sisters and brothers across the ocean 🇲🇦

Exploring the vibrant heart of Mexico City with The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington was an unforgettable journey of heritage, community, and culture. From the historic halls of the Justo Sierra and Mount Sinai synagogues to an inspiring morning with the Israeli Ambassador, we immersed ourselves in the deep roots of the local Jewish community. Our days were a whirlwind of discovery, standing in awe of the Teotihuacan Pyramids, wandering through the Blue House of Frida Kahlo, and experiencing the incredible hospitality at the CDI, the cornerstone of Jewish life in Mexico. Every moment was a testament to the enduring strength and connection of our global family.

The trip was equally a feast for the senses, blending meaningful reflection with the joyful spirit of Mexico. We floated through the "Venice of Mexico" in Xochimilco to the sound of mariachis, shared laughter over mezcal tastings in Polanco, and explored contemporary masterpieces at the Kurimanzutto Art Gallery. From sunrise yoga to farewell dinners in Roma Norte, this mission wasn’t just about seeing new places—it was about building lasting bonds and deepening our commitment to Jewish life worldwide. ¡Hasta luego, CDMX! 🇲🇽✨✡️

We recently returned from an unforgettable journey with UJA-Federation of New York, exploring the Eternal City through a profound Jewish lens. From the Arch of Titu, where history was transformed from a story of exile into one of resilience, to a private, after-hours moment of silence beneath the Sistine Chapel, every step felt like a bridge between our ancient past and a vibrant future. Walking through the Roman Forum and the Colosseum with expert guides, we didn’t just see ruins; we uncovered the hidden narratives of the Jewish Diaspora woven into the very stones of the city.

The heartbeat of the trip was the people. We transitioned from the solemnity of Yom HaZikaron at the Fosse Ardeatine Mausoleum to the electric joy of Yom Ha’atzmaut celebrations in the heart of the Ghetto alongside the local community. Between an intimate dinner at the home of the President of the Jewish Community of Rome and a briefing with the Israeli Ambassador, we experienced the warmth of a "mishpacha" that spans continents. This wasn't just a tour; it was a powerful reminder that no matter where we are in the world, our story is one of enduring strength and shared celebration. 🇮🇹

Our hearts and suitcases are full after an incredible Women’s Mission to Mexico City with the Jewish Federation & Foundation of Jacksonville! We kicked off our journey with the soulful sounds of Mariachi and a Mezcal tasting at Guzina Oaxaca, before diving deep into the history of this vibrant city. From standing in awe at the Teotihuacan Pyramids to walking through the historic Justo Sierra and Mount Sinai Synagogues, every moment was a powerful reminder of our shared heritage and the resilience of the Jewish spirit across the globe.

The connection grew even stronger as we visited the Olami ORT school and the CDI (Centro Deportivo Israelita), where we had an engaging chat with The Jewish Agency to learn more about their vital work in the region. A major highlight was our visit to the Israeli Embassy, where we had the privilege of engaging in an insightful conversation with the Deputy Ambassador, deepening our understanding of the vital ties between our communities.

We shared a beautiful Kabbalat Shabbat at Bet-El, explored the colorful halls of Frida Kahlo’s Casa Azul, and found moments of peace with morning yoga and reflection. This mission wasn't just about seeing the sights; it was about the bonds formed between sisters and the lasting impact of our global Jewish community. ¡Hasta luego, Mexico City! 🇲🇽
