Have you ever heard of La Notte della Taranta?
🎶Every August, music takes over the towns of Salento.
🎶Last year, I was in Galatina for one of the concerts leading up to the big finale in Melpignano. The streets were full, the piazza was buzzing with energy, and the music was everywhere.

🎶 This is pizzica — the fast, infectious music and dance so deeply rooted in the culture and history of the Salento on the southern area of puglia.

🎶It isn’t just one big concert. The festival travels through the towns and villages of Salento, bringing music and dancing into the piazzas before the final Concertone.

🎶And to experience it in Galatina, where the story of tarantismo began, was something I won’t forget.

For me, music has always been a physical experience. And standing there in that piazza, I could feel the rhythm, the energy, and the generations of history’s
