Our recent journey with ADL for the GLC Mission to Buenos Aires was a profound week of connection, learning, and cultural immersion. What an unforgettable and profoundly moving journey it has been for the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta Young Leadership Mission to Poland. Over the past several days, our group walked through history, bearing witness to the unimaginable tragedies of the past while honoring the memories of those we lost. From tracing the remnants of the Warsaw and Krakow Ghettos, standing in solemn remembrance at Treblinka and Auschwitz-Birkenau, to paying our respects at the Lopuchowo Forest and the historic synagogues of Kazimierz, we confronted the darkest chapters of our history with a shared, unwavering commitment that we shall never forget.

Yet, alongside our deep mourning, we had the profound privilege of witnessing the incredible resilience and vibrant rebirth of Jewish life in Poland today. Whether we were making pierogis and engaging in strategic briefings at JCC Warsaw, volunteering at JCC Krakow, or celebrating a beautiful Shabbat dinner with 250 people from the global community, these young leaders connected powerfully with the living legacy of Polish Jewry. Meeting with inspiring figures—including the Chief Rabbi of Poland, the Israeli Ambassador, and local Jewish Agency and Hillel directors—reminded us that the Jewish spirit remains unbreakable. Gil Travel is incredibly proud to have designed and guided this meaningful mission, sending these exceptional leaders home to Atlanta forever changed, deeply inspired, and ready to lead. 🇮🇱🇵🇱✨

Exploring the heart of Jewish Budapest with the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond has been an unforgettable journey of connection, history, and vibrant community life. From celebrating a spirited Lag B’Omer with the local Chabad to dancing with seniors at the JCC Bálint House, every moment felt like a bridge between our homes. We stood in awe of the Dohány Street Synagogue, reflected deeply at the Shoes on the Danube Bank memorial, and engaged in vital conversations about the future of the diaspora with leaders at Merkaz and the Israeli Ambassador.

Beyond the history, Budapest captured our spirits with its stunning landscapes and unique flavors. We took in 360-degree views from the Budapest Eye and the Fisherman’s Bastion, placed "love locks" on the Chain Bridge, and spent a meaningful evening volunteering with Budapest Bike Maffia. From the moving stand-up performance at the Gólem Theatre to a magical Shabbat shared with young leaders at the Frankel Leó Synagogue, this trip was more than a tour—it was a powerful reminder of our shared heritage and the enduring strength of the Jewish people. 🇭🇺✨✡️
