Dear All - I am very happy to announce that we have the menu for the Blessing of the Hounds dinner on Friday, October 5, 2018.

In addition to the wine pairing, Whistle Pig Bourbon flight, and ci**rs - we will be having Duck Fat, Alligator, and Elk !!! - I cannot stress how good this dinner was last year. The full menu is as follows:

Root Vegetables Sous Vide in Duck Fat



Alligator Sausage Salad

Crispy alligator sausage, arugula, artisan greens, candied pepitas, purple haze goat cheese, maple Dijon vinaigrette



Herbed Crusted Elk Tenderloin

Roasted Cauliflower Puree, glazed baby carrots, sh*take mushrooms and bordelaise sauce

Game Dinner Dessert Update! For dessert, we’re going with the trio of Whistle Pig Rye Whiskey - 10 Year, Farmstock, Old World - (for those of you who don't know, this is high-end, hand crafted rye - worth the price of admission alone) paired with pear fritters, sticky toffee and date squares, and vanilla gelato with berries.

Hello everyone!

Exciting things are coming up for the RCOP Outdoors Club.

First, October 22, 2016 we have officially booked our pheasant hunt - this is open to 6-8 hunters. We will be hunting both pheasant and chukar in southern New Jersey. Guides and dogs are included. Shotguns can be loaned. Please let me know ASAP if you are interested.

This will be a morning hunt at Game Creek Hunting Farm (http://www.gamecreek.com/). They have really beautiful hunting land - 8:30AM start, we can meet at the club around 7AM to carpool down. We have hunted with them many times before and they have really great and friendly staff, guides, and dogs. Not to mention good birds! There will be about 5 birds PER hunter, plus the likely bonus pheasant that happens to be out there.

Hunters will pay themselves the day of the hunt.

Second, November 4-6, 2016 we have officially booked our camping trip in the Catskill Mountains. This is open to 14 people - 6 spots are already taken! The trip will include a really nice secluded camp ground, a delicious campfire cooked pork dinner on Saturday night, and some beer. the TOTAL cost is only $85 per camper! You cannot find a better deal than that.

It is pet friendly, and there is plenty to do including fly fishing, clay shooting, hiking, and any other outdoor activity you would like. There is a clay shooting course about 20 minutes from the site that does offer night shooting so for those who are interested we may do a pre-dinner or mid-afternoon shoot (again, guns can be provided).
