Earlier this month, we had the honor of interviewing renowned visual effects innovator and nine-time Academy Award winner Dennis Muren at the original Van Nuys, CA home of Industrial Light & Magic, where Dennis contributed to the groundbreaking effects for STAR WARS (1977). It was the first time he had stepped foot inside the building in nearly fifty years.

We learned quite a bit from Dennis including why he wanted to work for George Lucas, meeting Steven Spielberg for the first time at the location, and his thoughts on the renewed interest in VistaVision.

Just in time for the holidays, we spoke about the locations from Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can, which transformed the Ticket Concourse of L.A.‘s Union Station into a Miami bank.

Our new one for L.A. TACO takes a look at the locations from John Singleton's POETIC JUSTICE, released in theaters on July 23, 1993.

Poetic Justice, Singleton’s sophomore feature film, was released on July 23, 1993. It marked a tonal shift from his seismic feature debut Boyz N the Hood. In Poetic Justice, street violence, addiction, and racial injustice serve as the foundation upon which a love story is built.
