The Save The Records crew are united by a passion for music and club culture in general, and a near-obsessive love of vinyl records in particular. Start me up! 👅🎸 On this exact day 45 years ago (August 24, 1981), The Rolling Stones dropped their massive 16th studio album: Tattoo You.
Short on time and eager to hit the road for a massive tour, the Stones dug into their vault. They stitched Tattoo You together almost entirely from 1970s studio outtakes—with some of the tracks dating back nearly a full decade! They polished up the instrumentals, had Mick record some fresh vocals, and ended up creating an absolute rock & roll masterpiece.
