Fresh Milled Flour Caramel Apple Cobbler
Peel and Dice 6 medium Granny Smith Apples
In hot cast iron skillet:
ADD Butter - 3 TBSP
ADD Apples
ADD 1-2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 tsp Salt
2 TBSP Cinnamon
3 TBSP Maple Syrup
1 TBSP Honey
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
Put on lid and let apples cook til soft. stir occasionally
Make Batter
Mill 3/4 cup soft white wheat berries - yields approx 1 c flour
Add
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
2 TBSP Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
Mix
2 TBSP Honey
1 TBSP Maple Syrup
ADD 1 cup Milk
Should be runny
To Apple mixture (once soft)
ADD homemade Caramel Sauce
ADD Batter to top
Put in oven at 350F ,approx 30-35minutes
let cool before eating
*If you don't have cast iron, cook Apples in regular skillet and transfer to a cake pan, then add Batter and bake
