Tips for the Green Card Lottery to the USA:

The application is free and occurs once a year, typically from the first week of October to the first week of November.

Eligibility requires having completed high school.

Ensure you have digital passport-size photos (maximum 240KB) on a white background for yourself and any family members you're applying for. Avoid shadows, accessories, hats, glasses, makeup, and necklaces.

The only genuine website to apply for the Green Card is dvprogram.state.gov. Beware of fake websites.

Many people worldwide apply, but only around 50,000 to 60,000 applicants are selected as winners.

Winning a Green Card is akin to obtaining a 10-year visa to work and live in the USA legally.

Winners are announced on the official website in the first week of May the following year. Notifications are not sent via email.

After applying, you'll receive a specific number to use if you become a winner the following year.

Only submit one application per year; multiple applications will lead to disqualification.

Legally married couples can each apply, increasing their chances of winning.

Include your children in your application with their names and birthdates to ensure they can move with you if you win.

If you don't include your spouse, they may need to join you in the USA after a few years.

If you don't win, reapply the following year, as the selection process is random.

Remember that a Green Card doesn't provide a free house; it grants legal residency in the USA.
