Come join NPS rangers for the 2026 Border BioBlitz at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument! Help us search for and document the incredible biodiversity of the Sonoran Desert. All you need is a phone with the free iNaturalist app to catalogue your findings.
Visitors can meet at the Kris Eggle Visitor Center at 8:15 am to caravan together, or meet their fellow bioblitzers at Quitobaquito Springs at 9 am.

We suggest wearing long pants, sturdy shoes, a shady hat, sunscreen, and bringing plenty of water! We'll spend the morning exploring, learning, and contributing data to important community science projects.

All submissions are welcome, such as articles (from professionals, students, and public—preferably with photos!), meeting/event announcements, project updates, science communication, job announcements, volunteer opportunities, photographs (with credits), and anything else relevant to management and conservation of Arizona’s wildlife resources. AZTWS encourages submissions and supporting material from under-represented and marginalized groups to empower and elevate voices of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. AZTWS is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in Arizona’s wildlife profession and community.

Take an active role in Arizona’s wildlife conservation and management! Advance professional stewardship of wildlife resources and their habitat! Prepare the next generation of wildlife professionals!

The Arizona Chapter of The Wildlife Society (AZTWS) is seeking new board members who want to take an active role in wildlife conservation and management. Join us to inspire and empower the next generation of wildlife professionals! We welcome and encourage applicants who are underrepresented in wildlife fields.

In your email nominees should indicate the position that you are applying for, and provide a short bio (about 300 words) and a photo that will be distributed to voting members. Ballots will go out mid-December and the results will be announced in early spring 2026.

OPEN POSITIONS

President Elect
The President Elect serves a two-year term, one year as President Elect and one as President. As President Elect, he or she assists and fills in for the President on a variety of assigned tasks and serves as the Chairperson of the Awards and Nomination committees.

Corresponding Secretary
The Corresponding Secretary serves a one-year term and is responsible for the Chapter files and correspondence with members and supporters.

Recording Secretary
The Recording Secretary serves a one-year term and is responsible for recording and distributing minutes of the Executive Board and Chapter Membership meetings.

Board Member (1)
A Board Member serves a two-year term and shares all responsibilities of conducting Chapter business and assisting other Board Members with assigned tasks.

President The President’s term of office is for one year. The President-Elect fills the office of the President whenever the position is vacant. The President is responsible for administering all...
