Made it to Flam 🥰 after taking a cruise from Gudvangen through Naeroyfjord. ❤️ The charming village of Flam is one of the most popular destinations in Norway. It is known for its stunning natural surroundings, situated by a spectacular fjord and nestled in a lush mountain valley.

I am trying desperately to stay focused and in the moment. Seven... Six… Five more days left. My mind has started the inevitable count down.

The wanderer in me, the part of me that knows my days in Norway are numbered, wants to continue to roam these here fjords….⛴️🤷🏽‍♀️ There is something about the pristine beauty of our 🌍 that captivates me. Since Norway is “the land of the fjords,” and I love fjords, I have fallen deeply in love with this country. Being here makes me feel like I am both part of a vast and beautiful natural environment; yet cradled in a cozy warm throw blanket that is soft and soothing. The fresh and crisp air whispers sweet-nothings of love, connection and joy into my head and heart. My Spirit is full.

I rarely want to go home when I’m on holiday despite the fact that I love my life, the work I do, where I live and the freedom I have created in my life. My friends who experience wanderlust understand the experience. I’m hoping two nights in Flam will help me feel satiated before I move on to Oslo…and the trek back home.

I’ve stopped in Riga on my way to Lithuania. Riga is the capital city of Latvia and is located on the Baltic Sea. I absolutely love staying in older parts of European towns where the culture is rich and the architecture is stunning. I imagine what it would’ve been like to walk the city as the community was being built. I ponder the question, “Who were the men that crafted these buildings and laid these cobblestone streets that have stood the test of time?”

Although Riga is known as a medieval Old Town that has wooden buildings and art nouveau architecture—it’s not as beautiful as Tallinn, Estonia. I definitely could’ve stayed in and soaked up Tallinn a little longer.

One of my travel goals, that I hope to realize in the near future, is to take a few months to simply wander through a region. I don’t want to attend to a schedule or rigid itinerary. Instead, I want to sink into my insatiable wanderlust and explore the area, learn about the culture, and embrace the beauty of diversity that our 🌍 provides with a sense of timelessness.

When I traveled to Antarctica in 2018 I was gone for nearly 5 weeks—the longest time I’ve been on holiday. That was the first time I ever relaxed so deeply into the moments within each day that I lost track of time. It was liberating experiencing timelessness—and I definitely want more of it.

If you’re struggling to feel like you are successful, I have three pieces of advice you might consider.

First, create your own definition of success. Don’t define your value or sense of accomplishment based on others’ assessments of whether you’ve reached your goals (or the goals they would set for you). To some success might mean doing an honest labor well or a kind deed. Some find success in having a family and loving friends. Others find success in accomplishing financial goals and having a professional degree or business. However you define success for yourself, be true to it!

Second, let go of comparing yourself to others. Just don’t do it-ever! We each have different talents and abilities, opportunities and adversities. Focus on your strengths and let go of judging yourself compared to others.

Third, look at yourself in the mirror and feel good about the choices you've made and the person you have become. Everyone has made questionable choices and experienced some struggle, but you can learn and grow through the process. Find purpose and meaning in your own journey towards becoming the person that you are and be okay with it!

Tell me: What successes have you had in your life? What are you seeking?

When you are confident, you believe in yourself. You know you have the ability to meet life's challenges and succeed—because you are willing to take action!

When you have confidence it aids you in transforming the impossible— into reality!

Confidence is a skill that can be developed. Try practicing any one -or all-of these skills:

1. Set realistic goals
2. Acknowledge your achievements
3. Refuse to compare yourself with others
4. Become emotionally intelligent
5. Acknowledge difficult emotions, rather than avoiding them
5. Speak up for yourself
6. Limit self-criticism

Do your best to maintain a healthy and confident mindset by prioritizing your mental, physical and spiritual well-being!

Most of us want to reach the height of our goals as quickly as possible. It’s not always easy being persistent, especially when we are faced with road blocks or other challenges along the way.

Climbing to the top of any endeavor can teach us so much about the quality of perseverance.

Sometimes when we are on our personal journeys upward, we learn how to find joy in the experience itself. This of one of the delights of becoming. When we practice patience and loving-kindness with ourselves, we can grow and learn as we make our way to the top.

Don’t become so lazer-focused on achieving your goals that you miss the opportunity to dig deeper for personal growth and understanding.

You belong at the top. Keep moving and trusting you are right where you are meant to be—and although you may not see it right away—you are making progress.

Remember to enjoy the journey!

Have you been feeling tired, overwhelmed, discouraged, or irritated lately?

If so, maybe it's a sign you need to take some time to care for yourself. Sometimes we fall out of rhythm with ourselves. It’s easy to do especially when we focus on all the things that must be done in the world.

Today, make the time and prioritize yourself. Focus on what you want to do for YOU. It’s such a self-loving and affirming thing to do.

Eat well.
Drink water.
Breathe in and exhale slowly.
Be mindful.
Take a walk outside.
Excercise.
Read a book.
Listen to music.
Go to the spa.

Do those things that feed your mind, body and spirit. I prioritize spending time in nature every day because it nourishes me. What’s one thing you do every day that centers you?

I'm here to remind you that you deserve to be lovingly cared for in every way. Set aside time for what makes your soul sing.

Tell me, below, how do you remain connected with yourself?

I was hiking in the hills of Catalina Island when I stumbled upon this sign. It shows the distances between that very spot above Avalon (California) and various points around the world.

Sometimes fear is the longest distance between two places. Fear keeps us stagnant, standing in place. Fear makes us doubt our ability to close the proximity between where we are and where we long to be or who we desire to be with.

Close the distance between where you are and what you desire. Make a move. Inch forward. Take a step or leap forward. Do what is necessary to bridge the gap. Heal your thoughts of doubt. Face your fear. Don’t try to be perfect and never give up!

What stands in between you are where you want to be?

I worked with a coach a long time ago who once told me, “You have a hungry heart.” She was 💯% correct!

I have a passion for living. I live with a quest to give this life all I’ve got. While I’m here I’m on full throttle. My heart is wide open. My mind is focused. I devote my life-force energy to living as lovingly and intentionally as possible in every moment.

I know my days are numbered and the opportunities I have right now won’t last always. So I’m taking in as much as I can before it’s all gone.

One day this dream will end and I promised myself a long time ago, I will have no regrets.

Today, I want see it all. Do it all—or at least as much as I can—which includes traveling to every place imaginable.

What’s one thing you want to take in fully while you can?

Nervous, excited, overwhelmed, and even a bit scared. We can feel each and every one of these emotions when we’re on the edge of pursuing our dreams!

It takes a major step of faith to live on the edge of something new—to put yourself out there, take a chance, and follow your dreams.

Taking risks can feel daunting.

A part of you might say, “Don’t’ do it; it’s foolish.” You should accept your age, race, gender, socio-economic status, current position and surrender to all the obstacles that appear to stand between you and your goals!

But there is another voice—the part of you that knows, “You’d rather try and fail, than fail for lack of trying.”

Take the leap of faith. Pursue your dreams. Understand that it’s normal to feel a bit of trepidation. Feel it. Then, take yourself right up to the edge anyway….

What's something you want to start doing that will put you at your growth and leadership edge?
Let's talk in the comments!

Today, I listened to the announcement of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics. The award was granted to three scientists who furthered the research on entanglement and quantum mechanics. It made me think of relationships.

Relationship entanglements can be both complicated and difficult. This includes the connection we have with ourselves. In fact, the relationship we have with our own Being forms the basis, the foundation, for every relationship we have with someone else.

Do you find yourself in difficult situations that are hard to escape from?

Do you experience recurring events and know you’ve created a pattern—but are unsure of either how you created it or what needs to be done to change it?

Do you see correlations between your emotional responses and issues that show up in your life?

If you answered “Yes,” to any of these questions, you may want to inquire more deeply regarding whether you are caught in an entanglement….and if it’s furthering your growth and purpose.

Not all entanglements are bad. It’s important to acknowledge whether you are gaining or losing energy or yourself on the journey!

Spend time today connecting with yourself and reflect on whether you have entanglements. If you do, seek understanding of how they may be impacting you! Simply noticing WHAT IS can be a powerful step towards shifting the dynamic.

Being present in the moment is liberating, but it’s not always easy to do. Sometimes we struggle with keeping ourselves in the moment. I know my thoughts often flow to the future. I love dreaming and creating my tomorrows—particularly when I envision the places I want to visit and the things I want to do. Others struggle with their past…and reflect on what has been before.

The focus on either the past or future is the same. It takes you away from being fully engulfed in what IS right now.

I read The Power of Now many years ago and it changed my life. In the book, Eckhart Tolle offers simple suggestions on how we can each self reflect and become fully present in the moment.

*Slow down
*Avoid multi-tasking
*Spend time in nature
*Let go of worries

The simple practice of being present within my own body has changed my experience of myself and my life.
One way I connect is through hiking while focusing on my breath; it has brought me greater peace and presence.

Today, commit to being present in the moment and see how you feel when you release and let go!
