This project has a special place in our hearts. Last month, we relocated to Washington. We have always loved the Pacific Northwest and all it has to offer.

We live in a great area that is close to everything. Food, coffee, hiking, camping, waterfronts; where we live has it all! Because we love to share awesome locations with others, we converted our basement to a modern guest suite.

Our guest suite features great amenities like built-in Bluetooth speakers in the bathroom and laundry room so guests can play their favorite jams while they freshen up. In true PNW spirit, we have free coffee and, not one, but two ways to make it- pour over(instructions included) and a Nespresso machine. My favorite amenity is our hot tub. Nothing quite beats soaking in it during a cool evening in the Pacific Northwest.

Our fourth listing is officially launched in Oklahoma City! We learned a TON from working on this home.

We did an extensive renovation that took roughly 4 months to complete. Nearing the end of the project, we discovered that the permitting process for short-term rentals was a bit more involved in this area. It extended the launch date by another month. The process also required that the surrounding neighbors be notified of the short-term rental that would potentially be in their neighborhood. Several of them opposed our permit, so we did our best to assuage their fears by contacting them directly and sharing the high standard that we have for our listings. On top of that, we had to send a representative to a city meeting to speak on our behalf. Luckily, we are working with a great realtor, property manager, and friend who was willing to attend the meeting for us. Shout out to Will Fraser with Craftsman Real Estate. Thankfully, through all this, we were able to get approved!

Lastly, we took on the HUGE task of designing and furnishing from half-way across the nation. Thankfully, we have a great team in OKC and a stellar designer, Meyah Cruz, to get the job done. It was stressful and difficult, but going through the process and the knowledge that we gained were totally worth it.

We finally have the home mostly cleared out of all the items we can't use for the bnb. The property came fully furnished, but there's a lot of things that get worn down over the years so it was a chore to find people to haul off all the things we wouldn't be using. It feels nice to see all the empty space and all that wood! We need to fix the floors obviously as they've taken a beating. Stay tuned for more updates!
