📸 Picture This… Pine Mountain!

We’re excited to share that Pine Mountain’s iconic Southern caboose was recently featured as the answer in Georgia EMC Magazine’s popular “Picture This?” contest!

The photo in GEORGIA Magazine challenged readers across Georgia to identify the location, and many correctly recognized one of Pine Mountain’s most photographed landmarks. 🚂

Since the magazine photo was taken, the caboose has received a fresh update. Visitors will now notice a new locator sign installed in front of the caboose, making it even easier to discover and learn more about this piece of railroad history while exploring downtown Pine Mountain.

Whether you're a first-time visitor or a longtime local, the caboose remains a favorite photo stop and a reminder of the important role the railroad played in Pine Mountain’s story.

📍 Have you snapped a photo with the caboose recently? Share it in the comments!

This Memorial Day weekend, the Pine Mountain Tourism Association joins our community in honoring and remembering the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As we gather with family and friends this holiday weekend -- and as our nation begins celebrating America 250 -- may we pause to reflect on the sacrifices that protect the freedoms we enjoy each day.

From the small-town charm of Pine Mountain to the trails, flags, front porches and places where memories are made, we are grateful for those who served and those who never made it home.

We wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend. 🇺🇸
