Silvermine Arch Trail is a beauty just waiting to be explored! 🌲🥾

Trail #225 begins near Koomer Ridge Campground and starts off deceptively gentle, winding through the forest before dropping into the rugged sandstone landscape that makes the Red River Gorge so special.

Then come the stairs, rocky terrain, towering cliffs and, eventually, Silvermine Arch itself. The name is believed to come from historic attempts to mine for silver in this area, adding a little bit of Gorge history to the adventure.

It gets more challenging as you go, and remember, what goes down has to come back up! 😅 But with scenery like this, it’s absolutely worth it.

Save the date and bring your furry best friends out to Hop's Farm to Table Restaurant on Saturday, September 26th for a pet portrait session with Wes Allen Photography.

For $25, Wes will spend 10 minutes snapping amazing, one of a kind portraits of your pet/pets. All proceeds will go directly to Wolfe County Animal Shelter and help support animals in need in our community.

Complimentary coffee will be provided to all pet parents, thanks to Hop's.
