Ironically, I was wearing a black dress, a perfect outfit foreshadowing what was to come a few hours later.

I was teaching English at a high school in Kansas City when the teacher across the hall informed me. I turned on my classroom tv, and my class and I watched world history happen right before our eyes.

Today, my thoughts are not of travel, but of all the people who were affected in some way from that day.
