Woohoo! Start the snow dance!

WINTER UPDATE: We are happy to share that the U.S. Forest Service has updated the fire closure footprint of the El Dorado National Forest order, and the closure area no longer includes Kirkwood Mountain Resort. With this news, Kirkwood is continuing to prepare to open for the winter season on our anticipated opening day of Friday, December 3, weather and conditions permitting. We are grateful for the ongoing efforts of the USFS, Cal Fire and all of the local firefighting teams to keep our community safe, as well as the tremendous support of our guests, employees, and community members.

This winter will take on new meaning as we return to the mountain for our first turns. We can’t wait to welcome you all back to Kirkwood this year for another memorable season of skiing and riding.

Kirkwood opening day is 12/4!! Getting stoked!

Mark your calendars❄️! Kirkwood Mountain is planning to open for winter on December 4th, 2020.

We’ve been hard at work planning, preparing and dreaming about delivering you a great ski and ride season, focusing on three things: your safety, having a successful season start to finish, and prioritizing our pass holders. Today, we’re sharing our winter operating plan with opening dates and answers on everything from face coverings to loading lifts to dining on mountain. But the most important change is that for your safety, we will be managing mountain access this season with a new reservation system that gives pass holders priority access. We know this season will be different, but we want to give you peace of mind knowing you’ll have the space you need at our resort.
