Heading out after a cool off and hydration stop at the river in Samburu National Reserve, Kenya. Elephant breeding herds most commonly move en masse across the terrain, unless of course that terrain is easier to cross in single file!

It's Safari Daughter's 15th birthday today (my oldest little one), and a family photo seems in order (ok not OUR family) while we are celebrating as always! Being a parent is one of the most rewarding things I've done, and it's a joy to watch elephants (another extremely social species like humans) embrace the joy of parenting as well!
