This Memorial Day, we invite you to spend a quiet moment honoring those who gave so much for our country.

While the PSU Veterans Memorial will not host an official ceremony this year, the memorial remains open 24 hours a day for all who wish to visit, reflect, and remember.

Whether you stop by at sunrise, sunset, or somewhere in between, this space stands as a lasting tribute to courage, sacrifice, and service.

Pittsburg to mark Founders’ Day on May 20 with community aerial photo

To mark the City of Pittsburg’s 150th anniversary, the Celebrate Pittsburg Committee has asked citizens to gather at 4 p.m., Wednesday, in the field next to the Pittsburg State soccer pitch at Ford and Homer Streets and arrange themselves into the shape of the numeral 150 so a photograph can be taken from a bird’s-eye view....

Pittsburg citizens will be tested on how well they follow directions, Wednesday, when they arrange themselves into a giant number 150 for a historical aerial photograph on Founders Day, May 20.
