There’s more to the Moose Festival than just Friday night. There’s a lot happening on Saturday at the Rec Park in Canaan, VT. Another day of great food and craft vendors. Trackless train rides around the park. The car show. Axe Women of Maine. The Connecticut River Artisan Group /CRAG Art Show and Contest. Live music by Retro and The Shifters. And several fun and entertaining events including the dog show, maple syrup tasting, and moose calling contest. There’s something for everyone!

Although we received a small amount of rain yesterday, it was not enough to reduce the fire risk in our area. The Fire Danger Rating has been downgraded to Class 3 – High, which means conditions remain very favorable for fires to ignite and spread quickly.

🔥 Effective immediately and until further notice, the following remain prohibited in Pittsburg:

Campfires (including fire pits and ring fires)

Brush fires / open burning

Fireworks

These restrictions are in place to protect our community, our forests, and our first responders. Please help us by staying vigilant and reporting any signs of smoke or fire right away.

Two weeks away! Sunday August 31st our 4th Annual Charity Poker Run benefitting Two Rivers Ride for Cancer will have a food stop hosted by Lopstick and Youngs Hot Rod! This will be a CASH ONLY stop with all items being donation driven! An enormous THANK YOU to Lopstick and Youngs Hot Rod for doing this!

Moose Festival weekend is fast approaching! In just a few more weeks we will be partying in the street! Main Street, Colebrook that is. On Friday, August 22nd the street fair will kick off at 3 pm. We have a long list of food and craft vendors waiting to see you there. There will also be local businesses and nonprofits hosting booths. Events including a police dog demonstration, parade, musical entertainment, and more. And don’t forget the local businesses! There are great places on Main Street and just off Main Street that will welcome visitors as well. Colebrook is looking forward to seeing you!

HB127 was signed today by Governor Kelly Ayotte at the Governor and Council Meeting held in Pittsburg today! This officially extends our riding season to Columbus Day, including the connections to our neighboring clubs! Thank you Governor for recognizing the importance of this Bill!

Great news!! If you were brave enough to venture out in the rain yesterday, you may have found that Hardscrabble Trail and upper Cowen Hill Rd were open and ready to ride! After two long years the two trails have been repaired and are now open! This was made possible by your generous donations, registration fees, government grants, and the hard work of our local contractors! IMPORTANT: work continues on Farr Rd so please ride with caution there! Enjoy the trails!
