STEP - Smart Traveler Enrollment Program
If you are traveling outside the United States, you should enroll in our Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). It is a free service that sends you email updates and alerts from U.S. embassies and consulates abroad.
U.S. embassy and consulate updates and alerts
When you subscribe to STEP(opens in a new tab), you get important updates and alerts from the U.S. embassy or consulate for the destination you are visiting or living in. STEP messages are sent to your email. It also helps the U.S. embassy or consulate(opens in a new tab) contact you or your emergency contact in an emergency.

You’ll receive messages for emergency situations with instructions on what to do, so you can make informed travel decisions. STEP messages include:

Security alerts
Demonstration alerts
Health alerts
Weather or natural disaster alerts
Travel Advisory updates
Routine messages about U.S. embassy and consulate services

People have been getting a pass on flying domestically without the Real Id. They have given everyone more than enough notice to obtain one. It would be easier to just go get one if you do not already have a passport for international travel.

The deadline for having a REAL ID is approaching this year. It goes into effect May 7, 2025. On your driver's license, there will be a gold star in the upper right-hand corner that will show it is a REAL ID. You will need one in order to fly domestically and enter most federal facilities. I have attached a link to give you more information if needed. If you have questions about what you will actually need to update your driver's license and get your REAL ID, contact your local DMV.
If you do not have one and prefer to wait until it's time to renew your license you can use your passport to fly domestically and get into the federal facilities but the driver's license are much quicker to replace If lost so keep that in mind when making your decision.

Update: My recovery has been taking a little longer than expected, so I am not back to work full time yet. I'm trying to do a little at a time and not completely caught up yet. Sorry for any inconvenience.
I want to let clients and prospective clients know that I will not be doing any bookings at least through the 21st of January. I'm sorry, I hate that I'm not going to be available, but I am having knee surgery and will not be able to. I received an email this week from Sandals stating they will have another Beaches Resort. I am so glad, they needed another family resort.
Effective August 15, Sandals Emerald Bay will close to prepare for its immediate conversion to Beaches Exuma, the fourth family-friendly Beaches Resort and the first in The Bahamas.

If you are planning on traveling internationally PLEASE start the process of getting you passport early. It is currently taking 10 to 13 weeks to process. They are saying if you pay the $60 to expedite it is taking 7 to 9 weeks. Do Not put it off, if you are even thinking of traveling in the next year.
