You know how you were wearing jeans yesterday, shorts this weekend, and jeans before that? The ebbs and flows of Spring, right?! Well forgot that! And Summer for that matter (figuratively).

Disney has just released this year’s dates for the Mickey’s Not So Scary event. Don’t get mad at Target and Walmart for putting out Halloween decor in July when Disney is announcing dates in April 😂

Part 2 - Day trip #2 of the year.

The topiaries at EPCOT were enjoyable and noticed they relocated many of them. We appreciate that since we’ve seen them 5+ times 😅. I will say I was disappointed bc we were still@trying to get back on track with our schedule and Test Track was down and everything else had a 40+ min wait. So….I reluctantly accepted our fate and we walked right onto Figment. Since all the booths were not open as we were a day too early for F&G, we got the tree cake (that took 20 minutes to receive 🙄) and booked it to the skyliner.

I LOVE the skyliner. I DISLIKE sharing a car with other small groups of 1-2 people. Aside from that opinion, I’d ride that form of transportation multiple times a day as a weird challenge to see how many round trips I can get in. HS provided us with another great drink snack and a more pleasant time on Sunset Blvd. than last time. We rode MMRR as the wait was just 35 minutes. The 🌧️ was NOT our friend between 3pm and 5pm. We got very wet making our way out of the park but with Sebastian’s Bistro on the agenda, I was not deterred.

Sebastian’s Bistro was amazing!! All you care to eat for $39/adult is great for Disney. The rolls with guava butter? 🤌🏻 The salad? 🤌🏻The chicken, pulled pork and flank steak? 🤌🏻 Veggies? 🤌🏻 Plantains? 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 I LOVE PLANTAINS. Oh, and the pineapple bread pudding with ice cream?! WTH?! I need to play the lottery so I can afford this life on the regular!

Part 1: Day trip # 2 of the year. 33 days after our last trip we’re off for a 4 park challenge day. The goal was to visit each park, get a picture at each icon spot, have a snack, ride a ride and trade a pin all between the hours of 9am and 430pm. That’s quick considering the time to transfer between each park! Spoiled, we did it!!

This post highlighted the first two parks AK and MK. As I shared, we got a lot accomplished at AK. Even getting to ride Expedition Everest since the single rider line had NO ONE in queue. We experienced Zootopia Better Together which was hilarious!

A bus ride later we were at MK and behind schedule bc I can’t read a clock. We had to forgo Tiana’s for The PeopleMover but got spring rolls and Casey’s BBQ fries. It started raining on a day that was forecasted for no rain so we had to spend time dodging raindrops as a bonus challenge.

Oh Boy! I took my son to Disney on Ice for his birthday. Yes, that view is from a suite. 😎 He loved it so much last year he wanted to do it again this year. Turns out, he just loved the food and snacks and cotton candy more than the show. 😅

We’ve been to DOI 3+ times but I always enjoy it!

First trip of 2026 was a day trip celebrating the wife’s 35th bday. 1/31 was was wicked cold in PA. FL decided to have gale force winds and drop to a real fee under 30°. 🙃🥶

We started at EPCOT for FotA and to visit my favorite Disney artist Will Gay. We traded Lorcana Cards, walked round the world showcase with very light crowds and ate at Connections Cafe to get out of the cold. We saw the black pepper plant I proposed next to while riding Living with the Land and was surprised that it didn’t look like a Mickey this time.

After complaining about the weather and my knees hurting, we ventured to HS where we rode Rockin’ Roller Coaster one last time and experienced the new (to us) Villians show ride next door. That show was pretty good! It wasn’t as mesmerizing as the unique shows we saw overseas BUT it was worth experiencing and evening checking out a few more times.

Not Disney BUT a story to share nonetheless.

We had a card show in Pittsburgh recently and I was unable to make it. My mom shows me the Pokémon vendors on display and some Japanese mystery packs catch my eye. I ask her to get me 1 pack. That pack contained 5 different packs of cards.

2 packs in, I pull THE chase card! A Latias ex 087/064 from SV7a - Paradise Dragona!!! Ungraded, the card is going for $120.

While I wasn’t there to share the excitement, much appreciation goes out to for the fun addition to my collection!

I’ve not been overly interested in spending $ to grade cards but I will definitely be getting this card graded! I’m looking at you.
