Take a tour of a standard room located in the Alligator Bayou section of the resort (pictures in comments to show the Princess and the Frog theming). We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside on our most recent trip to Disney. For those who remember Dixie Landings, here’s a quick history to refresh your memory. On April 1, 2001, Port Orleans and Dixie Landings officially merged to form one large resort. The combined resort was now to be called Disney’s Port Orleans, with the area formerly known just as Port Orleans changing its official name to Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter and the area formerly known as Dixie Landings changing to Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside.

Some quick facts: Not all buildings at Riverside have elevators. We requested a ground floor room due to my mobility issues. Riverside is one of the few pet friendly resorts on property. You can take a ferry boat to Disney Springs. There is one main pool and 5 smaller pools at this resort. Riverside utilizes internal bus transportation.
