Here's something that surprised a first-time client last year.
He'd been researching a trip to Japan for six months. Spreadsheets, Reddit threads, travel forums. By the time he called me, he had 47 browser tabs open and still hadn't booked anything.
We talked for 40 minutes. By the end of the call, I'd cut the list to three properties, two routes, and a 12-day window that aligned with the cherry blossom timing he'd been trying to calculate on his own for months.
What I could see that the spreadsheet couldn't: the Shinkansen timing he'd built was going to cost him two days of daylight. The ryokan he'd flagged as "probably fine" has a reputation I've heard from three different clients. The alternative I suggested — same region, same price point — is one of the best nights' sleep any of my clients have ever had.
This is what I do. Not book flights. Eliminate the wrong decisions before you make them.
If you've got a trip living in too many tabs, let's talk.
