Anyone interested in seeing the historic Union Pacific BIG BOY steam engine crossing the US for America250 . Here is the local information on the trains route so you can catch a glimpse .!

Calling all rail enthusiasts.
BIG BOY is passing through Pittsburgh. The Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014—the world's largest operating steam locomotive—will pass through the Pittsburgh region on July 11, 2026

When and Where to Catch It ... The route into Pittsburgh: Following its stop in Altoona, the Big Boy is expected to arrive in the eastern Allegheny County area (near Trafford) sometime after 11:15 a.m. on July 11. Downtown & South Shore: The train will travel through Duquesne and Homestead, offering views from the South Shore along West Carson Street. It will then cross the river to the Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood and follow Route 65 through Bellevue, Avalon, and Sewickley.Leetsdale

Public Viewing: The train will make a brief 30-minute stop for public viewing around 6:15 p.m. in Leetsdale After Leetsdale, the train will head to the Conway Yard in Beaver County for an overnight stay. It will depart Conway at 9:00 a.m. on July 12 and head toward Ohio.
