FYI about this afternoon’s storms in Pittsburgh and some disruptions at the airport. Note: power has come back online, but be sure if you are traveling this evening to check your flight status with the airline. There were some minor disruptions to arriving and departing aircraft as a result of this power outage.

The Voyage Geeks are nearing the end of an absolutely epic 11-night cruise sailing around the British Isles. But this itinerary had a few extras thrown in like today in IJmuiden, Netherlands - the nearby port for Amsterdam! (Ask us if you need help pronouncing that one… 😂)

And what a day it was - earlier this week we had low 50s and rain for our weather and today it reached a scorching 88 degrees and blazing sun! Hard to pack for this itinerary for sure.

We’re sailing on the Norwegian Sky for one of the last times before it transfers to Cordelia Cruises and leaves the Norwegian fleet. The ship is old but it has great character!

Aloha Aulani! 🌴

After disembarking the Pride of America this morning in Honolulu, we had many hours to kill before our flight departs back to the mainland. This is typical for flights out of Hawaii back east.

So what do we do? Head to check out Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa here in O’ahu! Amanda is the Disney Geek for our agency and we just had to check this place out. A little slice of Disney right here in Hawai’i!

Good morning from Nawiliwili! 🌴

The weather has really turned around for us and it really is looking as we expected Hawai’i to be!

We’re a bit late arriving into port this morning because of a medical emergency onboard overnight. We had to make a stop in Honolulu in the middle of the night to drop them off for medical attention.

We’re headed to a traditional luau tonight. Aloha!

Kahului is the largest town on the island of Maui. We’ll be here for two days as we are spending the night in port.

Unfortunately, Maui has been hit by historic rain and flooding in recent days. Our thoughts are with those affected.
