Heading to Walt Disney World this summer? These are the items I recommend packing for a more comfortable park day:
💨 Misting Fan – Not only do misting fans help you cool off in the Florida heat, but they can also provide endless entertainment for little ones. Trust me on this one!
🧊 Cooling Towels – I’ll be honest, I have mixed feelings about cooling towels, but so many Disney visitors swear by them. I’m giving them another chance on my June trip! They’re inexpensive, lightweight, and easy to pack, so they’re definitely worth trying for yourself.
☔ Ponchos – Summer afternoons and rain showers go hand in hand in Florida. While umbrellas work too, I find ponchos easier to carry and much less hassle when you’re navigating crowded parks.
👶 Stroller Fan – If you’re bringing a stroller, don’t skip this. One fan is great, two is even better. It can make a huge difference for little ones during those hot afternoon hours.
💧 Refillable Water Bottle – Staying hydrated is always important at Disney, but it’s absolutely essential during the summer months. Bonus tip: every Quick Service location will provide complimentary cups of ice water.
⚡ Electrolytes – These are a must-have for me in the summer. This brand is my favorite because they actually taste good—not overly salty like some others.
And don’t forget the true summer MVPs:
🕶️ Sunglasses
🧴 Sunscreen
🧢 Your favorite hat—whether that’s a baseball cap, bucket hat, visor, or even Minnie ears with a visor. Anything that keeps the sun off your face (and your hair part... iykyk😅).
Before you start adding things to your cart, know that I’m not a fan of buying items you’ll only use for one trip. Everything on this list serves a purpose at Disney and can be reused for future vacations, road trips, sporting events, and other summer adventures.
📌 Save this before your next Disney trip and tell me: what’s one summer park essential you’d add to the list?
