There are Swedish tile stoves and then there are Swedish tiled stoves ( kakelugnar ). This one takes the prize…. With its very neo-classical form and decoration shaped as a classical column on a pedestal base with urns adorning the top. This one in the dining room of Gunnebo contains warming cupboards on the sides for heating up the plates and food before serving them. Swedish ingenuity at its best!
