Travel plans ahead? Here’s what the latest FAA update really means for your flight✈️
Starting Friday, Nov 7, the FAA will be reducing air traffic by 10% across 40 major U.S. airports due to staffing shortages and fatigue among unpaid air traffic controllers during the government shutdown.
This could lead to delays, cancellations, and longer lines at affected airports. If you’re flying soon, here’s how to stay prepared:
📱 Double-check your flight status regularly
✈️ Sign up for airline text alerts + FlightAware notifications
🧳 Arrive earlier than usual (add at least an hour!)
💺 Get familiar with your airline app, it can help you rebook faster than waiting on hold
