If you know the Lowe’s, you know we love Bourbon. The last 6 years we have taken a long weekend to visit the Kentucky bourbon trail, now making it an annual trip with our friends. So of course we had to visit GEO-82 at EPCOT in Walt Disney World when we were there in January. And of course, we had to try the flight! Such a fun experience in this beautiful bar & lounge…although I’m pretty sure we knew more about bourbon than our waiter. Ha! But, I encouraged him to take a trip to Kentucky. If you ever get the chance, do an adults only trip to WDW. It’s a completely different experience. We love it!

The second hotel we stayed at during our recent trip to Orlando was the modern & new Terra Luna resort. We selected this hotel as it was close to EPIC Universe. It’s a clean and comfortable hotel with all the basics you would need. We knew we would be spending our time at the park, so basic was exactly what we wanted. There is a food court, nice size swimming pool with a bar and pool dining option. The weather was cool so we only spent a few hours at the pool. The beds were much more comfortable then last time we when we stayed at Cabanna Bay so that was a welcome surprise! I would recommend this resort to my clients along with its sister resort, Stella Nova, especially if you want to spend time at EPIC Universe during your Universal Orlando vacation. It’s just a short bus ride to the park and offers early entry for staying in a Universal resort hotel.

Earlier in January, we had the chance to go on a super fun trip to Orlando with our friends. Our first hotel, of the 3 we stayed in, was the beautiful Portifino Bay hotel at Universal Studios Orlando resort. The pictures do not capture the beauty of this Italian Villa style hotel. It was incredible! It’s romantic and comfortable. It offers several dining options and a quick boat ride to City Walk giving us access to Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure theme parks. It also includes the benefit of Express Pass which we took full advantage of using. Oh how I didn’t want to leave this place…it was a slice of heaven. We will return for sure and I’ll be recommending to all my travel clients.
